NPI Engineer/Specialist, change implementation
Reports to Operations Manager
Work is done on-site at Durham factory
NPI Engineer, change implementation, is responsible for coordinating new product launches and engineering change implementation to production and customer deliveries. NPI Engineer act as gatekeeper to ensure all checkpoints and validations in design phase are completed to implement changes successfully
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Coordinate product change or new product implementation activities with variousstakeholders (RDI/Engineering, product management, production, logistics, purchasing)
- Bring product changes and new products into production on a project and task bytask basis
- Analyze and report impact of product changes to product data, product assembly,material inventory and customer deliveries
- Lead and report results of prototype production builds to verify new products orpart changes
- Maintain and follow up action plan/task lists for change implementation
- Update product data, documentation, and instructions as a part of the productchange management process
- Emphasize organizational adherence to change management processComplianceREQUIRED COMPETENCES
- Degree or diploma in engineering
- Experience in design engineering and/or NPI process execution. Experience in Design for Assembly and Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis is seen as an advantage
- Knowledge of product data management (Teamcenter) and ERP systems
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work with different stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
