EHS Engineer
THE ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Engages the employees to lead a safety-first culture and accomplish safety performance objectives and targets
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements and corporate safety systems
- Under the direction of QHSE Manager, recommends changes in plant and warehouse layouts (new and existing equipment) to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Applies knowledge of health and safety engineering processes and practices to identify the root cause and mitigate hazards and risks
- Leads the Safety Committee to support best practice sharing, identifying and resolving safety concerns and making improvements
- Key member for driving ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification
WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- 3 years of safety management experience in an industrial production environment
- Robust knowledge of industry standards and processes
- Experience with ISO 14001
- Experience with ISO 45001
- OSHA 30 Trained
- Certified Safety Management is preferred
- ISO certified auditor is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
