5G Engineer – Contract Role

Precision Talent Group is a leading consulting firm specializing in providing top-notch talent and expertise to organizations across various industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced 5G Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will work remotely from the United States, supporting a Fortune 500 client as a 5G engineer.

Responsibilities:

  1. 5G network design and deployment: Design and implement 5G network architectures, including radio access networks (RAN), core networks, and transport networks. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert guidance on the design and deployment of 5G infrastructure.
  2. Data analysis and optimization: Analyze network data and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and optimize the 5G network. Utilize data analysis techniques to evaluate network performance, capacity, and quality of service (QoS). Provide insights and recommendations for network optimization and enhancement.
  3. Network planning and capacity management: Collaborate with clients to develop network planning strategies, considering factors such as coverage, capacity, and user demand. Conduct capacity analysis and predict network traffic to ensure optimal performance and resource allocation.
  4. Troubleshooting and problem resolution: Investigate and resolve complex network issues, including performance degradation, connectivity problems, and service disruptions. Utilize troubleshooting tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  5. 5G technology evaluation and implementation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in 5G technology and standards. Evaluate and recommend appropriate 5G equipment, tools, and technologies to support client requirements. Assist in the implementation and integration of 5G solutions.
  6. Collaboration and consulting: Work closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to understand business objectives and provide expert guidance on 5G technology and network optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to drive successful outcomes.
  7. Documentation and reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including network designs, implementation plans, and troubleshooting guides. Generate reports on network performance, capacity, and optimization efforts. Present findings and recommendations to clients and project teams.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a 5G Engineer, preferably in a consulting or telecommunications environment. Strong understanding of 5G network architecture, protocols, and technologies.
  2. Network design and optimization: Extensive experience in designing and optimizing wireless networks, including 5G RAN, core networks, and transport networks. Proficiency in network planning tools and performance analysis.
  3. Data analysis skills: Solid understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical analysis, and visualization tools. Experience in analyzing network performance metrics and optimizing network performance based on data-driven insights.
  4. Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Ability to analyze network traces, logs, and performance indicators to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  5. 5G technology expertise: In-depth knowledge of 5G technology, standards, and features, including network slicing, massive MIMO, beamforming, and network virtualization. Familiarity with 5G equipment and tools from major vendors.
  6. Collaboration and communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams. Ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  7. Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in 5G technology, such as 5G Certified Professional, are highly desirable.
